VIPnet – integration of an external planning system

The system used by VIPnet Croatia for installing technical radio locations (OMNIX) was integrated with maintenance applications in SAP R/3.

Omnix is the master system for location data, project milestones and plan versions for technical development. SAP is the master system for technical materials and equipment data that is initially entered into SAP during the procurement process.

The two data sources were interlinked via interfaces (web services) and so kept consistent. Equipment data in SAP-PM can be retrieved and managed directly from Omnix via a web-based drag-and-process application. Direct integration of planning data from Omnix into the procurement process in SAP is also planned.

VIPnet – B2C shop, retail logistics

To handle direct retail sales at VIPnet Croatia, a B2C web shop was directly integrated with SAP R/3 and distribution logistics were set up.

The integration covered product catalogue and price management as well as the online ordering facility from the shop, including availability checks and order history in SAP.

For the new sales channel, a dedicated document flow was set up that could be integrated into the existing serial number-based inventory management system. Furthermore, handling unit management during delivery, together with integration of transportation-related data and status synchronization with the external service provider, was implemented.

VIPnet - B2B PartnerWeb

VIPnet Croatia’s extensive distribution network to dealers, distributors and company-owned stores was supported through the implementation of a so-called ‘PartnerWeb’ specific to its business processes.

A web-based partner shop enables efficient online purchasing of VIPnet products for resale as well as job tracking including statistics. Ordering is subject to a credit limit check, availability check, minimum order value and maximum order quantity for fair distribution of new products. The PartnerWeb is built on an Intershop-Enfinity platform and integrates directly with SAP R/3 online.
