SI.Mobil - integrated asset management

SI.Mobil Slovenia is a successful provider of services in the Slovenian mobile phone sector. Following successful mapping of the central sales and logistics processes in SAP R/3, maintenance procedures for the technical components of the mobile network needed to be managed in SAP.

An essential part of mapping the relevant business processes is comprehensive cataloguing of all technical components purchased and tracking of serialized components used in individual radio mast locations across the country.  This enables, among other things, repair and warranty processes to be supported and changes to the asset base to be transferred from the MM and PM modules directly into the finance module (principally FI-AA).

The equipment is displayed there graphically and, when generated, is linked to the financial assets via the purchasing documentation. Each alteration initializes the relevant accounting response, in particular transfers between different account objects

Key points:

• Complex additional development to SAP R/3 for graphic display of equipment and tracking of changes to them (drag & process application)
• Full integration of the MM, PM and FI-AA modules throughout the life cycle of the technical assets.
• Separation of current assets (spare parts) and fixed assets (investments) using a separate evaluation.
